About the Club
Queen City Golf Club is more than just a group of people who like to golf—it’s a growing community built around connection, camaraderie, and a shared love for the game. Founded in Charlotte, NC, QCGC was created to bring golfers together—whether you’re new to the area, new to the sport, or just tired of texting your entire contact list to find a foursome.
A Club for the People
We’re a completely free social club. No dues. No gatekeeping. Just people who enjoy good golf and even better company. Our members range from weekend warriors and scratch players to folks still figuring out which end of the club to hold. Everyone is welcome here.
What makes us different is that we’re built around community first, golf second. We use Discord to coordinate tee times, plan casual meetups, and keep the conversation going—whether we’re swapping course recs, sharing swing videos, or setting up brewery nights and pickleball games. It’s not unusual to see someone who showed up for golf leave with a new group of friends.
More Than Just Tee Times
We host regular rounds at local Charlotte courses and organize outings, tournaments, and group trips to iconic courses like Pinehurst. These aren’t formal events with rigid formats—they’re opportunities to travel, play, and hang out with people who get just as hyped about a good par save as they do about a cold drink after the round.
In the future, we plan to expand these offerings with more weekend golf trips, QCGC merch drops, and fun local events that bring the crew together even when we’re not on the fairway.
Why We Exist
At its core, Queen City Golf Club is about making golf more accessible, more social, and way less stuffy. We believe you shouldn’t have to belong to a country club to feel like you belong somewhere. This is golf in its best form: open, relaxed, and rooted in community.

How do I use Discord?
🖥️ How to Use Discord (Even If You’ve Never Used It)
Queen City Golf Club runs everything through Discord—a free app (like a group chat) where we post tee times, plan meetups, and just hang out. It’s easy to use, even if you’ve never tried it.
✅ Step 1: Join the Server
After clicking the invite link, you’ll land in our Discord server—basically our virtual clubhouse.
You can use it on your phone or computer (desktop browser works great too).
💬 Step 2: Explore the Channels
Each channel is like a conversation topic.
Here's what you'll use most:
#welcome:
Start here. It explains the server and how it all works.#general:
Talk about golf, gear, life—whatever. Totally casual.#meet-ups:
Planning a round, brewery night, pickleball event, or anything else? Post the idea here to plan it, or understand the interest from the group.
#tee-time-announcer:
Confirmed tee times go here—include course, time, and spots. Best practice to to call a golf course, book a time for 4, and then post it in this channel following the format of previous posts in this channel. People will like your message to reserve their spot!#meetup-announcer:
Similar to the tee time announcer channel, this is used to announce a confirmed meetup. For example a pickleball round, top golf, brewery meetup, or any other meetup that isn’t a golf round.
#club-swap-and-sales:
Buy, sell, or trade clubs and gear.
You might also see channels for special events or groups (like trips or #ladies-only
).
🔕 Step 3: Set Your Notifications (Super Easy)
Want fewer pings? Here’s the move:
Mute channels like
#general
if you don’t want constant notifications.Keep notifications ON for
#tee-time-announcer
and#meetup-announcer
so you don’t miss rounds or events.
📱 On mobile: Tap and hold a channel name → "Notification Settings"
🖥 On desktop: Right-click the channel name → "Mute Channel" or "Notification Settings"
⛳ Step 4: Get Involved
See a round you want in on? Just like the message posted in the tee-time announcer channel.
Want to start something? Post your tee time, range session, or brewery night in
#meet-up-announcer
or#tee-time-announcer
. Doesn’t have to be formal—just toss it out there.
👋 Step 5: Say What’s Up
Don’t be shy. Post a quick intro in #general
, or just jump into a convo. Most of us shoot in the 90–110 range—some lower, some higher. Everyone’s welcome.
